Easy Jane's Oyster Stew Recipe

1 pint fresh oysters
2 1/2 cups whole milk
Pepper to taste
4 Tblsp. butter
1 tsp. salt

You must use two pans. Heat oysters with butter, slowly, till the edges of oysters begin to curl. Beware of overcooking. In the other pan, heat milk with salt and pepper. When the oysters are ready, add them to the hot milk and it is ready to serve.

Tip: Part half and half or cream can be substituted for part of the milk.
