Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle with nuts. Pull thawed bread dough into walnut-size pieces. Fill pan with a layer of dough balls. Combine remaining ingredients and heat; pour over dough. Let rise overnight in refrigerator. Bake, uncovered at 350' for 30 minutes. Place rolls immediately onto a foil-lined cookie sheet.

Melt butter in skillet. Saute' onion for 3 minutes, or until tender. Remove from heat. Stir in bacon, cheese, and pepper. Meanwhile, steam asparagus for 6 minutes. Drain. Place hot asparagus in serving dish. Sprinkle with cheese mixture. Serve immediately.
