Easy Delicious Potato Cakes Recipe Leftover mashed potatoes 1 egg per 2 large cakes Flour Crisco Fry pan Mix potatoes with a fork to get clumps out. Add egg. Mix up with fork thoroughly. Sprinkle some flour in mixture, then mix thoroughly again. Keep adding flour to mixture until potato texture is a little sticky. Don't want to overdue the flour, get's the cake dry. Melt Crisco in fry pan. Divide mixture in to 2 cakes. Scoop each into fry pan and cook on low to medium heat until each side is golden crisp. Tip: I start out cooking on low, then turn the heat up a little bit. I do that for both sides. Benefits To Teaching Our Children To Cook

Best Popover Recipe Ever

For years I've been making popovers and have tried tons of Popover recipes. For me, this popover recipe always turns out, they don't flop on me, tastes great and looks like a popover should. 1 cup flour 1/2 teas. salt 3 eggs 1 cup warm milk (put in microwave 45 sec.) 1 tablespoon vegetable oil popover pan(s) (greased) Preheat oven to 450' Measure ingredients into a bowl and beat until smooth. Fill each popover pan cups little less than half full and bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then, poke holes in each popover with a fork. Put back in oven for 5 minutes with oven turned OFF! Tip: Never open oven door during the 25 minute cook time-they may fall(flop) Makes 6 to 8 popovers
