2 lbs. lean beef short ribs
1 tbsp. wesson pure vegetable oil
1/4 cup minced onion
1 tbsp. prepared horseradish
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 (8 oz.) cans Hunt's tomato sauce

Cut beef into 4 pieces. Brown on both sides in hot oil in skillet. Pour off
excess fat. Combine ingredients and pour over ribs. Cover; simmer 1 1/2 hours
or until meat is tender. Makes 4 servings.

2 cups crushed Rice Krispies
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 tbsp. oleo margarine, melted
3 lbs. chicken

Place Rice Krispies and paprika in a bowl. Then, add beaten egg, oleo and milk, beat slightly.
Add flour, salt, pepper and poultry seasoning. Beat slightly.
Dip chicken in batter. Bake at 350' for 1 hour.

Beer Cheese Soup Recipe(Everybody's Favorite)

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
2/3 cup flour
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 tsp. paprika
1/8 tsp. cayenne
1 tsp. salt
1 cup water
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 1/2 cups whole milk
12 oz. grated cheese
1 can (12 oz.) beer
popcorn(plain or cheesy)

Saute onion in butter in a pot. In another small pot bring water to a boil add bouillon cubes. Then add the flour to butter and onion. Slowly add water and cook and stir till thickened. Add the rest of ingredients and simmer only a couple of minutes. When serving, have the soup very hot and top with popcorn. The popcorn is a must!

Green Beans with Herb Sauce Recipe

1 lb. fresh green beans
3/4 cup minced onion
1/4 cup minced celery
1/4 tsp. rosemary
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup butter
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/4 cup snipped parsley
1/4 tsp. basil

Cook Green beans.

Melt butter in a frying pan. Add onion, garlic, celery, and saute 5 minutes.
Add herbs and cover. Simmer for 10 minutes. Then add beans, toss and serve.

I hadn't had Pizzaburgers since High School I think! Found this old recipe that my Mom use to make. I whipped it up last week for supper. Boy they tasted so good! Give it a try if you like. Memories....

1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. oregano
1 tbsp. parsley flakes
1 can (10 oz.) spaghetti sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
8 oz. Shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp. sage

Mix all together. Spoon on bun halves and place on cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes at 425' or until cheese melts. This should do
a dozen buns. I use hamburger buns. I also sprinkle extra Shredded
cheddar cheese on each top before baking.

Six Layer Dinner

Six Layer Dinner Recipe

Layer the following in a deep casserole in this order

2 cups raw sliced potatoes
1 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup raw white rice
1 cup chopped onions
1 lb. raw hamburger
32 oz. cooked tomatoes(I use my stewed tomatoes I preserve every year)
Add salt and pepper as you go

Cover and bake in a 325' oven for 2 1/2 hours, or until rice is tender.

1 lb. lean beef strips or cubes
1 can beer(12 oz.)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 pkg. mushroom gravy mix
2 tbsp. butter or oil(I use butter)
1/2 tsp. basil

Brown beef in oil or butter. Add beer and seasonings. Cover and simmer 35-40 minutes.
Add gravy mix and simmer 10-15 minutes more. Serve over egg noodles or rice. Serves 3 to 4

Yummy Pumpkin Bread Recipe

You will need:

1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
2 cups flour
1 cup pumpkin
1/2 teas. each of cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg
1/2 cup shortening
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup water

Mix all ingredients together and put into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake at 350' for 1 1/2 hour. If using glass pans, bake at 300'.

Fruit Soup Recipe

I discovered this recipe in one of my Moms older cookbooks while looking for some Christmas recipes. I decided to try it out. I had never had fruit soup before and love fruit. I loved it!

2 qts. water
2 cinnamon sticks
1 cup prunes
1/2 cup Minute Tapioca
1 cup raisins
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 can (No.2) apricots

Wash raisins and prunes. Add water and simmer 40 minutes. Add sugar, cinnamon sticks, and vinegar, thicken with tapioca. Stir in juices from the canned apricots and simmer 30 minutes. Add the apricots and simmer 10 minutes more. Ready to serve.

Earthquake Cake Recipe

Earthquake Cake Recipe This recipe ROCKS!

1 cup coconut
1 cup slightly chopped walnuts
1 pkg. Devil's Food cake
1(8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups powder sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. chocolate chips

Spread coconuts and walnuts on the bottom of a greased cake pan. Prepare cake mix according to directions on box. Pour cake mix over coconuts and walnuts. Combine cream cheese, butter, sugar, and vanilla. Drop spoonful over top of cake. Sprinkle chocolate chips on the top. Bake at 350' for 50-60 mins.
