How to make perfect meringue

Recipe for how to make perfect meringue and it comes out perfect every time! 3 egg whites 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar 6 tablespoons sugar Beat egg whites with vanilla and cream of tartar till soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, beating till stiff and glossy and all sugar is dissolved. Spread meringue over pie filling sealing meringue to edges of pastry all around. This prevents shrinking. Bake in moderate oven at 350' 12 to 15 minutes, or till peaks of meringue are golden brown. Enough for a 9in. pie. Tip: Egg whites will whip fluffier if they are at room temperature.

Berry Fruit Dressing

Berry Fruit Dressing Recipe 1/2 tsp. dried or prepared mustard 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. lemon juice or vinegar 10 oz.(1 1/2 cups) frozen sweetened raspberries or strawberries - partially thawed In small bowl or blender combine all ingredients. Blend until combined. Cover and chill. Use as a dressing on any combination of fresh fruit. Yields 1 1/2 cups.

Applesauce Cookies

Applesauce Cookies Recipe 1 cup margarine 2 cups brown sugar 2 eggs 2 cups applesauce 4 cups flour 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. cloves 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. nutmeg 2 tsp. soda Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs and applesauce. Mix. Add dry ingredients. Beat well.(you can add 2 cups of raisins if desired) Bake at 375' for 10-15 mins. on greased cookie sheet.

Candy Bar Pie

Candy Bar Pie Recipe 1 - 8oz. Hershey's candy bar 1 graham cracker crust pie shell 8 oz. Cool Whip In microwave-safe pan, microwave candy bar for about 1 1/2 minutes(until soft to the touch). Blend Cool Whip into softened chocolate. Pour into graham cracker crust pie shell. Refrigerate until set, about 4 hours.  

Grandma's Peaches and Cream Pie

Grandma's Peaches and Cream Pie Recipe 9-inch unbaked pie crust 7-8 fresh peaches halves, peeled 2/3 cup sugar 1/3 cup flour 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. salt 1 cup half-and-half Place peach halves cut side down in pie shell, one in center and others around it. Mix sugar, flour, salt, and cinnamon; stir in half-and-half until smooth and well blended. Pour over peaches. Bake at 400' for 35-40 minutes or until filling is set. Cool.

Baked Pork Tenderloin

Baked Pork Tenderloin Recipe 3 pork tenderloins 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/2 cup bourbon 4 Tbsp. brown sugar Combine soy sauce, bourbon and brown sugar. Marinate the pork several hrs. or overnight. Remove and bake in a shallow pan, uncovered, at 325' for 1 1/2 hours, basting often. Carve into thin diagonal slices. Serve with sour cream sauce. Sour Cream Sauce: 2/3 cup sour cream 2/3 cup mayonnaise 1 Tbsp. dry mustard 1/2 Tsp. vinegar 1 Tbsp. onion, grated Combine and heat through in microwave. Serve with tenderloin. (Makes a good cold spread, too.)
