Ground Beef Chow Mein

Ground beef chow mein recipe

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup celery, diced
1/2 teas. salt
1/4 teas. pepper
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup water
1 cup chow mein vegetables
1 small can of mushrooms, drained
3 cups cooked white rice
Chow mein noodles

Brown ground beef, onions and celery until beef in browned and celery tender, not mushy. Drain off fat. Add water, salt, pepper, soy sauce. Simmer for 2 minutes. Add vegetables, mushrooms, then stir, add soup. Mix together, simmer 10 minutes stirring occasionally. Serve over white rice. Topped with chow mein noodles. Delicious!


Easy Spring Salad

Easy Spring Salad

1 pkg. ring macaroni, cooked, drained and cooled
2 cups shredded cabbage
1/4 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup green pepper, diced
2 cucumbers, unpeeled and sliced

DRESSING:
1 cup Miracle whip
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
Salt and pepper

Mix together macaroni and vegetables; put into large bowl. Combine dressing ingredients; pour over and mix well. Marinate at least 6 hours. 10 servings.

Note: Can be made the day before.
