Easy Delicious Molasses Crinkles

3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger
2 1/4 c. flour

Cream together shortening, brown sugar, egg and molasses.
Then add remaining ingredients. Chill dough then roll
into balls. Just prior to baking, roll balls in sugar and
bake at 375' for 10 to 12 mins.

Shortbread Raspberry Jam Cookies Recipe

Shortbread raspberry jam cookies

1 cup shortening
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 egg yolks
3 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. vanilla
2 2/3 cup all-purpose flour, shifted
2 teas. cream of tartar
1 teas. soda
1/2 teas. salt
1/2 cup red raspberry jam

Thoroughly cream shortening and sugars;
add egg yolks, milk and vanilla; beat well.
Sift together dry ingredients; add to creamed
mixture. Chill 1 hour.
On well-floured pastry cloth, roll half the dough at a time
to 1/8 in. thick. Cut with 2 inch cutter. Cut small hole
in center of half of cookies. Place 1/2 teas. jam on each
plain cookie; top with cut-out cookie. Press edges with a spoon.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350' 10-12 mins.
Makes 3 1/2 dozens.

4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 cups milk
4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced thinly
4 green onion sticks, sliced
2 cups ham, diced, bite size

In a saucepan, low heat, melt butter. Then stir in flour,
salt and pepper, cook until smooth and starting to boil.
Gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil; and keep stirring
for about 2 mins. or until thicker. Remove from heat.

Grease 2 quart baking dish, layer half of potatoes, half of green
onions, ham, than half of sauce. Repeat layers one more time.
Cover and bake at 350' for 1 hour or until potatoes are done.


Spritz Cookie Recipe

Spritz Cookies

1 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. almond extract

Cream butter and sugar. Mix in remaining ingredients. Place
dough in cookie press; form desired shapes on ungreased
cookie sheet. Bake at 400' until set, but not brown (6 to 9
minutes.) Makes about 5 dozen.

Cookies can be decorated with colored sugars before baking.
Add  frosting or candies on cookies after baking, if desired.
Add some red or green food coloring to frosting for Christmas
cookies.
