Spritz Cookies

1 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. almond extract

Cream butter and sugar. Mix in remaining ingredients. Place
dough in cookie press; form desired shapes on ungreased
cookie sheet. Bake at 400' until set, but not brown (6 to 9
minutes.) Makes about 5 dozen.

Cookies can be decorated with colored sugars before baking.
Add  frosting or candies on cookies after baking, if desired.
Add some red or green food coloring to frosting for Christmas
cookies.

Ground Beef Chow Mein

Ground beef Chow Mein recipe 1 lb. ground beef 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 cup celery, diced 1/2 teas. salt 1/4 teas. pepper 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1/2 cup water 1 cup chow mein vegetables 1 small can of mushrooms, drained 3 cups cooked white rice Chow mein noodles Brown ground beef, onions and celery until beef in browned and celery tender, not mushy. Drain off fat. Add water, salt, pepper, soy sauce. Simmer for 2 minutes. Add vegetables, mushrooms, then stir, add soup. Mix together, simmer 10 minutes stirring occasionally. Serve over white rice. Topped with Chow Mein noodles. Delicious!

German Fluff (One dish meal)

 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 c. onions, chopped 1 c. celery, chopped 1 can tomato soup 1 can tomatoes 1 can peas, drained 1 can mushroom soup 2 tbsp. sugar salt and pepper Season ground beef with salt, pepper and sugar. Then, brown seasoned ground beef and onions in a big fry pan. Add rest of ingredients, simmer on low for about an hour. Serve over noodles or mashed potatoes. Very easy meal to make.
