Image
The Best Homemade Dill Refrigerator Pickles Ever! 4 cups sugar 2 cups water 1/2 cup pickling salt(cook to boil) 1 large onion In a big round bowl(big mixing bowl works great)layer: 2 layers cucumbers(sliced) 1 layer onion 1 thin layer dill(seed or fresh) Several Garlic cloves, chopped repeat layers again until bowl is almost full Pour boiling liquid over all, then let sit out for at least 24 hours. I usually put a plate for cover over bowl. Then put in refrigerator. Ready to eat in couple of days. I put my pickles in jars with lids before putting in fridge. Take's up less space in fridge and they keep for a really long time.
