Asparagus Brat Salad Recipe

10 oz. fresh asparagus
4 oz. linguine
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 lb. smoked brats, cooked and sliced diagonally
2 small tomatoes, cut in wedges
2-3 green onions, chopped
parmesan cheese
1 small bottle creamy Parmesan or caesar dressing

Slice asparagus and cook. Cook pasta, drain and chill. Toss pasta with basil, thyme, and green onions. Add remaining ingredients and toss lightly. Top with parmesan cheese. Cover and chill. Best if made a day in advance. Broccoli or green beans may be substituted. Makes 4 generous servings. $8.99

Grandpa's Easter Fudge Recipe

1 (6 oz.) can evaporated milk
10 large marshmallows
2 cups sugar
1 cup chopped nuts
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet
chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla
1 stick butter

Cook milk, marshmallows, and sugar in heavy saucepan over medium heat. Bring to boil, stir constantly for exactly 6 minutes.
Combine nuts, chocolate chips, vanilla and butter in large bowl. Pour first mixture into bowl and mix well until chips are melted. Pour into buttered pan.
