Favorite Christmas Cookies
Old Fashion Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies Recipe
I made a double batch of 'Peanut butter blossom'(seen here) yesterday. They were awesome!
1/2 cup crisco Butter shortening
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 tbls. milk
1 teas. vanilla
1 teas. baking soda
1/2 teas. salt
1 3/4 cups flour
48 choc. candy kisses.
Cream together: shortening, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar. Add: egg, milk, and vanilla. Beat well. Sift together, flour, baking soda and salt. Add to cream mixture. Beat on low speed until dough stiffens. Put 2 cups of sugar in a small bowl for rolling. Next, shape dough into 1in. balls. Roll each in sugar. Set 2in. apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375' for 10-12 mins. or until starting to turn brown. Put kisses on immediately out of the oven. Press them down in center of cookie. Let cool. Yum!
