My Longtime Favorite Homemade Chili Recipe

1 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, diced
1 large green pepper, diced
1 qt. homemade stewed tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 teas. chili powder, or desired taste
1 teas. salt
1/8 teas. cayenne pepper, or desired haet
1/8 teas. paprika
1 15-1/2 oz. can dark red kidney beans, drained

Brown ground beef, onions and green peppers in a skillet
until meat is brown, onions and green peppers are
tender. Season mixture with a little salt and pepper while
cooking. Drain off fat.

In a crockpot add ground beef mixture. Stir in remaining
ingredients except kidney beans. Cook for 2 hours, stirring
occasionally. Then stir in kidney beans. Heat, then serve
with saltine crackers, cheese and sour cream.

Makes 4 to 5 servings(about 1 cup each)
