Pineapple Dr. Pepper Beans

1/2 lb. smoked bacon, sliced
1 lg. yellow onion, diced
2 bell peppers, diced
1 c. mushrooms, chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 (28 oz.) cans pork and beans
2 tomatoes, diced
1/2 c. tomato paste
1/2 lb. summer sausage, sliced
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. medium Pace Oicante sauce
1 (16 oz.) pineapple tibits, drained
1 can Dr. Pepper

Slice bacon into 1/2 in. strips then fry in frying pan until crisp.
Add onions, bell peppers, mushrooms and garlic and continue cooking
until tender. Combine with remaining ingredients in crock pot. Cover
and simmer 30 to 40 minutes. Makes 10 to 12 servings.
